Researching and Writing

Reading disabilities aren't a reflection of the learner; instead, they allow a teacher to rise to the challenge and teach reading, writing, and spelling in a structured, systematic, diagnostic, and multisensory manner.  OG on the GO is dedicated to utilizing the  Orton-Gillingham Approach to help individuals with dyslexia and other reading disabilities learn how to read, write, and spell effectively, and with confidence.

Students will learn how to read by focusing on the smallest units of language.  Words will be broken down into individual, tangible units to meet your child's individual needs.

As we focus on reading, we will also focus on how words work, by linking morphemes, graphemes, and spelling patterns together.

Reading, spelling, and writing are interwoven throughout each lesson.  Students will improve their letter formation (manuscript or cursive) in order to better support their continued growth.
